Anywhere from 25,000 to 60,000 miles depending on compound and driving style. European performance pads trade lifespan for stopping power, and Florida stop-and-go traffic shortens it further. The wear sensors on German cars warn you — do not ignore the dash light.

On most European cars, usually yes. German rotors are engineered thin for weight and heat, and often reach minimum thickness within one or two pad cycles. We measure them and show you the numbers instead of assuming either way.

Squeal is often the wear indicator telling you the pads are done, or glazing on a car driven gently. Grinding means metal on metal — stop soon, because every mile adds rotor damage. Either way, the fix costs less the earlier you come in.

It depends on the axle and the spec — an AMG or M setup is not a base-model job. We use OE-quality pads, rotors and sensors fitted to factory spec, quote everything in writing first, and typically land around half of the dealership price.
